i too crochet in public when waiting for appointments and such and i love the fact you gave her the washcloth and how happy you made her, last christmas i was working on little ornaments at the ford dealership where my car was being serviced and a guy came in and sat down and asked what i was making,. i forget what it was but it wasn't nothing special to me, just something little , when i finished it he was in awe of it and said his wife and dd would loved that so i gave it to him, i think it was a butterfly, . the elderly can teach us sooo much if we only take the time to listen to them, i miss my neighbor soooo much, she always had a story to tell and showed me how to make so many cool things. i too had to laugh at the washing machine "mistake" cause that is what happened back then lol bet she was thrilled with her wash cloth and you did a fantastic job here :hug:hug:hug:hug
