I have nothing against knitting, but I think the crocheted one shows off the colors of the yarn better.

I agree that the crocheted one shows the color better. But the first one looks like it is softer, and lighter' good for the spring and summer babies. The second one looks like it's more sturdy and would last longer too. So I am with you. Don't know?!
