I just moved from there, it has the grand down town not much going on. other than that but I know there is at least one other crocheter there.

I live in Wausau..have for the past 7 years. We have a great performing center downtown called The Grand Theater, there are a couple museums, great schools, and being it is the last large city before the "northwoods" we also have "Rib Mountain" for skiing and snowboarding. We host a great deal of winter sports games every February. The only bad thing is there is only on small LYS, but we also have Michaels, JoAnn's, Hancocks for yarn and Herrschners is within 45 minutes driving distance. We do have a nice stitchery and quilt shop. I guess it depends what you are looking for in a city. If you have anymore questions I can try to answer them...just pm me.

Nope not from Wausau from Milwaukee and been here most of my life. It's ok here.

I'm in Wausau. There are some chain stores up here. I agree, Herrschners has a nice store. They have their warehouse sale in June 13-17th. Lots of yarn there plus, if you have time, take a walk around the retail store. The sale is indoors and the warehouse and store are connected. The best of both worlds!
