Looking for pattern

Does anyone know where I can find a pattern (or similar) for the "Classic Stripes" poncho shown on this page?

There is a Striped Poncho here, but the stripes wouldn't meet up in the middle as in the Classic Poncho. Here is another Striped Poncho that seems to be more what you're looking for, just do the rows in the colors you want, instead of 7 of each.

I have been looking for a nice shawl pattern for a student. She wants it in her school colors which means I'll use two colors. Most of the shawl patterns that I seem to like work up from the top or bottom and go straight accross in rows. I would like to do stripes, but don't think it'll look right unless it is worked similar to a half granny square rather than stripes going straight across. Can anyone share an easy pattern that works up quickly?

This pattern works up from the inside or middle out. I think it might give you the stripe effect that you are looking for. Plus, it's really easy and gorgeous worked up. Check out Ro's blog www.yarnicopia.com. She made a beautiful version in lilac, I believe. :)h

Your welcome, Nina. I've only made a smaller version of that pattern for my 4 yr old, which is always stolen by her 2 yr old sister, so I'll be making her one before I get to start mine. I can't wait to see a photo of yours in what sounds like a gorgeous yarn. :)h
