I don't know if any one has seen those meshy type shopping bags they have (i work at health food store) but they don't look very difficult to make and i would like to make one for a XMAS gift... i was wondering if anyone has seen a similar pattern anywhere?

thank you for all your suggestions - the onion bad is very close to what I'm thinking of but i'm not very good with thread yet - so I took the pattern from Bernat's/Lily's (the one that uses sugar n cream) and modified it - lots of oval rounds on the bottom so things will sit flat - i'm about halfway through with the mesh so far and will post pix when completed. so much again

there's a great pattern for recycled plastic grocery bags crocheted into a new grocery bag. I keep meaning to make this and thinks it's a great use for those extra bags that I either don't recycle back at the market or use for other things.
