Easy Doily?

I would love to make a doily-I know basic crochet stitches but would like to start with an easy pattern. Can anyone help me?

If you can do basic crochet stitches you can do anything all the other stitches are just combos of the basic ones.

 

When choosing a doiley make sure the finished dimensions are small. Try a coaster first even. Doilies can get a little disheartening as the outter rounds can seem to take forever to complete.

It helps, when doing a large doily, to simply think of each round as one strip of "edging" - seems to make more sense that way, and to go quicker! Even breaking the elements down into "motifs", as in a pineapple doily, will turn it into a more manageable project.
