Any ideas on what type of crochet stitch to make this shawl.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what type of stitch or pattern would be good to make a somewhat similar shawl to the one in the link below. It is hand knitted and I am not a master of that craft.

I would probably do a simple HDC using a really big hook, increasing one stitch at each end. The mix of yarns is what makes it really pop.

Yep it looks like you could get that look from hdc or a double crochet or something just using a big hook.

I would try doing a sc and dc.. Doing the sc in the dc of previous row and dc in the sc.. Use a big hook

Go to Bernat or Michaels site and look for star stitch shawl.....then.....make two tr or dtr on the four petals or stars across and only chain the top and bottom stitches......it looks just like the Simpson shawl and I made on for my daughter for about $3.
