Cablemania!

I made the chunky winter hat (free pattern) from Crochet Garden and then took what I'd learned to make the cuffs on the glovelets! The hat took a skein of TLC (I shorted it a few rows), the glovelets are TLC Aran Fleck. The hat pattern is really easy and works up fast. The cuffs will certainly keep her wrists warm! maybe she can take up jousting or something...

They're for my Pine Ridge Elder Florine :manyheart , hope she doesn't start returning my packages :eek , lol.

I think I'll BUY the crocheted cable hats pattern from the website ("Stonehenge" is gorgeous, must have it), I figure it's really only a couple of bucks and buying patterns only encourages designers to publish more.

I don't think I'll use tlc again tho, once it was crocheted it was ok, but it feels like industrial carpet fiber.......:no

thanks for looking! xoxox

The hat turned out beautiful.. and I am sure you will love the Rugged Mountain Hat Collection!! I think you used the Ocean color? My son loves that color and wants me to make him an afghan in that!

TheWorm: She made the hat pattern from a free pattern on my site:

And then she also purchased the Rugged Mountain Hat Collection here:

And also, soon I am coming out with the mittens to match this collection! Here is a sneakpeak at one of the mittens at my blog:

Etaria is so nice! And she does offer all the help you need. I emailed her quite a few times about a pattern of hers. And even though the problem was on my end, she has been patient and super helpful and walked me through until the lightbulb went off.

A mitten!! YAY! I love this set and I am making all of them for family and friends for christmas. She has some truly awesome designs!

ooooh, guys! the snow cap collection is just gorgeous!!! I printed out the patterns with BIG pictures and now I want to make them all! and the matching scarves and mittens!

the patterns are clearly written with helpful diagrams and the hat works up surprisingly fast for such a complicated looking piece. I think it's great that cables have come out of the realm of knitting. These really give knitted cable hats a run for their money!
