I forgot I had made this shawl quite a while back - I bought the pattern from the designer on-line. It is gorgeous and was so fun to make, I want to make another!

 

Couldn't decide what to make it with so I finally chose some thick and thin cotton from a cone in a lovely peach and just about that time I was also preparing a huge trial transcript from a defendant who was representing himself in a criminal case, looking at 25 to life. Because he was in custody I couldn't give him the transcript with brads or staples holding it together so I printed it on three-hole-punch paper and then I used the same peach cotton to tie the through the holes (the deputies said that would be acceptable - the other things could be used to jimme the handcuffs) so on the day I gave him the transcripts I wore my matching shawl - only my clerk new, but we laughed about that so hard!

Very pretty!! I have that pattern marked in my book to do soon. You did a great job! Did you find any errors in that one? I know the book has quite a few...

I love it. I have seen that stitch on a number of garments, but never seen how to work it.
