Buttons?

If your making a stuffed animal toy, is it too risky to attach buttons as eyes for a 4 year old?

It depends on the four year old, but I would think that would be okay. Usually they post choking hazards on things (like Legos) for children three and under.

I would also suggest doing a REALLY good job sewing the buttons on. I tend to get lazy when sewing.

Thanks! I ended up asking the person I was making the toy for and she assured me that it would be alright. I did however make a point to make sure they were secure.

When sewing on buttons, I usually make a point to double my thread in my needle. It seems to make it extra secure. Just a tip.
