THE TORTURE!!

suddenly my hands are aching. my right fingers are becoming deformed and i have an ache in the left palm. I have to stop crocheting for a while. HOW WILL I SURVIVE????

You know...someone should invent something for crocheters to use/wear so our hands don't ever hurt.

Actually, when I've had "marathon" crochet days I've started sleeping in wrist immobilizers. You can buy them at wal-mart or most pharmacies. I can't "do" much when wearing them so I just sleep in them but they do seem to help me from any stiffness or swelling.

I can't even scratch my nose in them (used to wear one on each hand before my carpel tunnel surgery on the right. Bathroom trips were um, interesting trying to get the braces off.

I know the feeling! I'm a medical transcriptionist and I began using these because of their second-skin-type feel. They're awesome!
