Need a border idea

I was given some beautiful yarn from a lady who owns a shop in Iowa. It is 2 ply hand-dyed (rainbow type colors) baby alpaca. It wasn't enough to make a large blanket, so the lady at my LYS suggested doing a square out of it and then i bought yarn that would work with it as a border. So...I have a "rectangle" shape of the varigated yarn. My question is.....what should I do as the border. I want a lacy type look, but I haven't come across a pattern I like. Can someone please help? It is for my baby daughter.

Thank you for the ideas. I would still like to hear about any other ideas anyone else has. This border needs to be pretty wide. Maybe 4-6 inches?
