Beginner from Long Island

I've been a long time knitter (my gma taught me many many years ago) but never learned to crochet. This past thanksgiving I decided I wanted to try so I watched a few youtube vids and now am in love with the craft. I started with bibs, moved on to hats, and now I'm making a shawl for my mother's birthday. I love how creative you can be with crochet, but sometimes I really (really) struggle with patterns and directions. So I thought I'd join an online group and see what I can learn.

I live on Long Island. I work full time and go to school, so my craft time is limited, but I find it very theraputic to get off the screens and play with the yarn.

Welcome  to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

We are always so glad to meet new friends.😁

They are really good.  I also love your models.  How adorable.

Many of us know how to both knit and crochet.  I learned knitting first as a young girl, then picked up the crochet hooks after I retired.
