Hi everyone. I’ve been crocheting (very badly!) for years. I’m self-taught but still can’t follow a pattern so I can only make things out of squares :-))

 

I have a big issue with straight edges, so I’m off to the ‘help’ section to ask about that.

Probably top on the list for edges not being straight is to make sure you aren't missing or adding stitches on each row. Always count your stitches at the end of the row to make sure it's the same number. I'm pretty sure this has been addressed at more length in the help section. If it doesn't seem to cover what you are looking for, you can post a picture there of your work and someone may have suggestions on what's going wrong.
