Pattern Identification Help Please

Hello, I need help identifying the pattern and stitch.  I have been asked to make this blanket for my next grandchild.  I found this picture on Flickr (

Here are the basic instructions for the squares.  You add rounds for larger squares.  The rest is in the colors you use and how the squares are arranged.

Hello and welcome!  Congratulations on your new grandbaby!

That is really  just a solid granny square that is two colors on the diagonal or triangles.  If you can make grannies, you can make this.

For color placement, just pick your four colors and follow the picture.

This link is the original posters info on what she used for her blanket pattern. I think you're going to be able to crochet the blanket with the link that Empress Busy Bee gave for the Half Square Triangles pattern. It looks like the original blanket is 4 rounds of double crochet in the front loop only and turning after each round. Keep us posted how you do and would love to see the finished project.
