Unfinished Blanket

[Captain Crochet]

I have a blanket that I cannot finish because the charts are no longer available. What do I do with it?

well, several options,rip it out, and re create something from the yarn, or finish off as is, and donate it as a baby ghan, or a smaller throw, I guess.I really don't have any other ideas, sorry.

What sort of pattern is it?  Is it a charted picture , or a repeating lacy stitch pattern?  Can you post a photo of what you have so far?  

 

If by chance it was a Caron pattern, that's gone now because Caron was bought out, I know they have made efforts to get the old patterns onto the new Yarnspirations site.   and one of the other merged companies, I think it was Bernat, was emailing their old patterns on request.

wow,that is interesting news, I did not know that, is there still caron pounders though, cause I always buy those on sale or with coupons,      me hopes I can still find them!!

Caron still exists as a brand name product; like Coats and Clark is the parent company of Red Heart Yarn and Aunt Lydia's thread for example.  Caron's parent company Spinrite also owns Bernat, Patons, Lily Sugar n Cream.

 

It's just that Caron's old patterns aren't all available on the web any more at caron.com, the patterns that are still available are here http://www.yarnspirations.com/

Post a photo, maybe someone will have the pattern. If it's big enough for a baby-ghan or lap robe/shall, finish it off.
