Granny Square Edging stitch help?

Nova Martens

Question

Hi there,

I recently saw a picture of edging on a granny square shawl that I'd love to use on my granny square blanket. But I can't find information about it anywhere. Can you help by giving some instructions on how to make the stitch or telling me what the stitch name is? I'll post the link to the pic for your reference, you have to scroll half way down the page to see the pictures of the shawl edging. It seems to be a V shape or a reverse V shape of some sort. I love it; I'd love to know how to stitch it.

I don't remember the name of the stitch but another version for each point is:

Ch 7, hdc in 4th ch from hook, dc in next  2 ch, tr in last ch, sk 3 st on previous row, sc n next st.
