Amigurumi Question

I've seen the Wikipedia definition for amigurumi. Do you consider there to be a size limit as to the type of project you would label "amigurumi"? Are they always small? I know it's probably a silly question.

As far as I know they are small "caricatures" of normal animals because they are meant to be toys, and have a cartoonish appearance that is done on purpose.

All of the ones I have ever done have been small! I've not seen one that's over 7". 

 

I'm not an ami master by any means though.

As far as I know amigurumi is simply a knitted/crocheted stuffed toy. No size implications in the name:)

I've never seen size requirements although I've never considered myself a "purist" about ami's.  I've seen larger patterns.  I tend not to make them because most of the people I make them for have storage issues.
