What would be a good filler for the pouffe I crocheted

Recommended Posts

I don't know what a poof is or what it'll be used for so...  this might be helpful or not.

Stuffing - either new from the store or from old stuffed animals.

Rice - if you want it to have weight or be able to heat it in the microwave

potpourrie - if you want it to smell pretty

yarn scraps - I haven't done this but quite a few members here have

Some people use knee highs or stockings to hold the stuffing inside their creations.  I think using the same color fabric is also a really good choice since you don't want the stuffing coming out or showing.

I didn't know either so I Googled.  Are you talking about a footstool/cushion type thing?

If so, you could use a store bought cushion and cover it.  Or stuffing pellets.  You can get them next to where they sell bean bags.  Amazon has them, too.

Here is a pattern on Ravelry. She stuffed it with fabric bits (read the comments).

You might try shredded foam, kapok (although I don't know where you would purchase that), You could try first making an inner bag filled with sawdust then wrap foam around it and then fill with stuffing to conform to your pouffe.  If it is square or rectangular, you might consider going to an upholstery store and they might be able to make up a foam pillow for you.
