Sensations Bamboo & Ewe

What weight is Sensations Bamboo & Ewe? The Joann web site doesn't say, but it comes up under a search for sport weight. I get the idea from web searching that it is sock weight.

I can't decide whether to order or not.

I am confused about it too! A couple years ago i got some that was sock weight and i really liked it. But i think they quit making that weight and it is heavier now, i was thinking it was worsted actually.

This site http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/jo-ann-sensations-bamboo--ewe says it is a Light Fingering yarn.

 

Jo-Ann's site gives this info:

40% Wool, 30% Nylon, 15% Rayon

2.12 oz, 60 grams, 262 yards, 260 meters

Suggested Knitting Needle - 4'' = 16 stitches Size 17

Suggested Crochet Hook-P-15

Here is the link I saved on how to determine yarn weights. http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/weight.html But the characteristics listed for this yarn seem to be different in different places. If you want a sock yarn, I think you would be fine with this .

It is further confused by RedHeart having a Bamboo & Ewe yarn too (Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller). It is a medium weight yarn.

I know this is a bit of an older thread, but I just saw Sensations Bamboo & Ewe yarn at Joann's Friday and it was in the Sock Yarn bins. I want to say that I saw a 2 on the weight when I picked it up to check out a colorway.
