Tote using nylon cord vs. S&C

What would be the difference between making a tote out of Sugar & Cream vs. Omega Nylon cord? Would the Sugar & Cream be sturdy and hold up well? Would it get fuzzy over time? The Nylon cord that is called for in my pattern seems like it would be stiff to work with (though it would probably never fuzz), and it isn't easy to come by in a variety of colors without ordering online.

Here's what I would love to crochet...

They'll both be sturdy.

The cotton will be softer, will eventually look more worn over time, but it will take a long time ~ years.

The nylon will still be going strong when you turn 90 years old, so you'd better love the color you use. It's stiffer and much harder to knot and tie in the ends.

I have a small purse made of nylon I was gifted with. Wears like iron, and washes up nicely too, but yes I've heard it's slippery to work with. I have some but we've only used it to do a quick repair on the toilet, and that knot keeps slipping.
