de-ruffle?

RebeccaVelasquez

Question

i have a project going that is done "in the round" spiraling larger.....

it has started to ruffle

short of frogging, is there a way to continue on and still remove the ruffle?

maybe i'm thinking wrong, but - i thought, ruffles meant increasing too quickly ... cupping, too slowly

:?ideas:?advice:?suggestions:?

when you spread it out does it lay flat?? I had a problem with my first "in the round" project ruffling but when I spread it out, it was fine, just needed to be "tugged" out in the right position...other than that, I don't know :)

I hate to say it, but I think you're going to have to frog it. Once the ripple gets really noticeable, I've never found anything that works to fix it and still have it look nice. Just slowly rip it out round by round until you can find the round where it lays flat (or close enough :) ) and increase less in the next round.

Good luck!

Jessica's right. Frogging is the only thing that will fix it permanently. I try to remember to lay an item flat every couple of rounds. That way, if it's starting to ruffle, I can catch it before I have to do a whole lot of frogging.
