This dress was supposed to have a train, but I didn't have enough thread. The thing at the bottom should have been wider, but again, not enough thread. I'm glad she has her tiara.

that's very pretty. I love Barbie outfits made of thread, but I can't work with thread. (does that make sense? lol)

No, I can mix them up, but I can't create. The patern (s) are Shirley Jean Wright's. The one I wanted has a straight train attached just above the waist with a bow. This one is another of her ideas, but I didn't have enough thread for the bottom to be done properly. Her patterns use yarn, but I like thread. She has a lotof nice ideas, but he site is closed. They can be found on other sites but not all of them. This doll is 6 in.tall. I used one strand of tatting thread and one strand of gold thread to extend my thread. I was left with a 6 in piece of thread so nothing fr the hair. I guess thread takes getting use to. I really like the small thread, #30, for those dolls, but I can't see it well enough unless it's white. #20 is about a low as I can go. Need new glasses. Thanks to both of you for the compliment.
