Each skein of my yarn is 2.5 oz. (Lily Sugar & Cream) I ran out of the blue and needed just a tad bit more so I bought another skein. I used almost all of the red and white skein. Hope this helps.

So am I understanding correctly that you used about 3-1/2 skeins of cotton yarn total. And those are the normal sized balls?
