I often wonder (doily edging)

why I sometimes do the edgings on doilies that the pattern calls for. I am on the last round of a doily I was very excited to make. It has 8 hearts on the outside that I had to crochet seperately (need to start reading those patterns all the way through and NOT do the ones that are not one piece. :() and I am about halfway through this last round.

I'm thinking now that I could have thought up a faster way to finish this thing off then the picots they have written in. :(

Just a rant. I'll post it's picture this afternoon - if I ever finish it. ;)

Oh I hate doing the last round of a doily. I think it's something about being almost, but not quite, finished. And the anticipation of seeing the finished doily all blocked. For the last three days now, I've been trying to finish the last round of my doily for the swap and it really seems as if I'll never be through.

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one! I think picots just ruin the flow. That's why I don't like them. I should have finished it off with a nice shell or something.

Oh well. It's done and I'll post a picture tonight after I iron it.
