going crazy material searching

I want to make the crochet waffle headbands and hats for babies/toddlers

and can find them everywhere online to purchase, but can't for the life of me find the fabric/yarn/nylon/silk/grograin, whatever it is, to make them with! Anyone know?

Have you pm'd any of the etsy seller's to ask what materials they use? That would be your simplest solution.

a few, maybe it's a matter of getting the right person, but a lot won't tell/answer at all because they want you to buy their shop items.

If somebody wants me to purchase a product then they better tell me what it's made of. You don't have to offer information (like the fact that you want to make your own) just ask what it's made out of.

The reason they don't list the materials is because they are not making them.

They buy them in bulk from a supplier and resale them.

One day I was looking for simple crochet beanie pattern. Well, when I typed in crochet beanie, I forgot to type in "pattern". I got sooooo many websites that you can purchase these "home made beanies" for about .97 ea(when you buy in bulk)!!

I prefer making my own ... the material is very difficult to work with but the quality is so much better .
