I received information about this kit club in the mail today. I was wondering if anyone does this?

 

It looks neat, you can choose either crocheting or knitting, everything included to finish the project

They are rather expensive for what you get IMHO. My SIL joined, but quit after about 5 deliveries (and gave 3 of the kits to me!) The kits are $15, you do get enough yarn to finish the project but they are little balls, not full skeins; if you have a stash of scraps you can probably do better with free patterns on the internet. I would not have paid $15 each for materials/pattern for a snowman, a small teddy bear and a tea cozy.

I get the kits, but I don't like most of the designs. It's not they are bad designs (!!!), just not my style. I only like one kit out of the 7 or so I've gotten-the teddy bear. It really is expensive, like 20 dollars or more for each shipment with shipping charges. You might do better to catch the individual kits on eBay...that way you can get the ones you really want-and usually cheaper.

I second the thanks for the info -- I've been getting ads for this in snail mail and e-mail and been tempted. Now that I know what the kits are like, I'll be able to resist.

Yes, and if you don't like the kits, you have to pay to send them back or unload them on eBay to the highest bidder. But, I keep subscribing in hopes I won't miss a good kit (for some reason!!). Some of them I've just opened to use the yarn for other projects.
