what do the shorthands mean the dh/ds etc?

ds= darling son

dd= darling daughter

 

mil= mother in law

fil= father in law

bil= brother in law

sil= sister in law

It just depends on what board you are on. Most of the ones I've been on or go to it's "dear".

Unless of course you're not happy with your husband that day.

I kind of agree. I just write out husband. I think it just got shortened on mom boards with a lot of other works like "TWN" is typing while nursing. I think making it DH or DD looked better than just H or D.

I'm just guessing though.
