This pattern works great for me. I made 2 last month and it worked up fast. The granddaughters love them and can't wait for the weather to cool down so they can wear them:

I have made this one a few times, it's super easy. I made it in a bigger size, too. (Even Barbie sized). Paloma's Poncho It's an archived pattern, but it should work... (This link will take you to my blog post; where you can see the barbie sized one and the size 8 one that I made, too...)
