Red, White & Blue 12" Square

I can never remember if there is a name to this pattern stitch. It's the one where there's one sc then one dc through the entire thing. Anyway, I really like how this square turned out. I wouldn't want to make an entire afghan out of this square, but it would look great in a sampler afghan or friendship ghan! Thanks for looking

that sorta sounds like what I know as the "up/down stitch". you sc in the dc's and dc's in the sc's. Beautiful work. awsome square. tfs
