Ironing Acrylic Baby Blanket

Recommended Posts

Actually, if you iron it, it will "kill" the acrylic fibers -- make them super soft and drapey -- but the will NEVER bounce back to original feel/size. I think that would probably undo your ruffle. :(

If it ripples now, after they wash it the first time, it will ruffle close to what you have, so redoing the boarder would be best. Or maybe the ruffles look good, sometimes they do. Just sort of turn them the way you would like and maybe spray with water to shape and block.

Ironing it would melt the acrylic, though. :think

Do you have a picture of it?

The problem with acrylic yarn is you get what you get. The border will lay the way it lays. I've seen ironed ghans and unless you get it just right they look awful.
