tied in a double knot and wove in ends. this keeps the hat a little

snugger!

I've printed off the pattern. It sounds lovely. I think I'll make one for each of my neighbor's granddaughters for Christmas. Thanks for the pattern. :hug

Brenda, the pattern works up beautifully. I got one completed yesterday and it's lovely. I used variegated yarn for mine and added two extra rows to the skirt to make it just a tad longer.

Here is one I worked up yesterday in maybe an hour and half. I used Plymouth Dreambaby DK and the accent ruffle is Bernat Baby Jacquards. I did not do the neck ruffle or hat but only because I ran out of yarn. Thank you for a fantastic pattern! Sorry about the pics. My almost 5 yr old helped. :lol

Very cute, Melissa. I've made two more versions, but my camera battery is dead, so I have to get replacements before I can post my pics.

The thing I like about this dress is the bodice. I don't like strapless or anything unmodest. I don't wear them myself and I don't like them on barbies! I also had to really work at making a bodice that fit. Once I got that part down, the skirt can be made in a lot of different ways.

On Elsewhere I had posted two bed dolls: Kaillee and Lindsay. Those dresses are made the same, but the added ruffles and changes of colors made them completely different!

i know this is a commonly used trick, but it's always fun to discover it for yourself!
