Can someone PLEASE tell me what patons grace is? what weight and ply is it?

I have some and it doesn't say on the label. It just says 100% mercerized cotton and 24 sts = 4" on US 6 needles. I like it alot and comes in really beautiful colors.

If you take the end of it and fan out the plies, you should be able to count them to see if it's a 4-ply (made up of 4 pieces spun together).

 

I'm pretty sure it is, but I don't have any to check.

ok, I checked and it's 4-ply. I'm sort of curious what difference that makes.

Someone else has already answered your question but I did not know about this yarn and so am glad you asked about it. I have been crocheting with cotton yarn lately -- mostly Peaches and Cream and Sugar and Cream. I've been wanting to find other colors and brands of cotton yarn. The colors of this Paton yarn are beautiful. I've been crocheting drawstring bags from a American Needlecraft leaflet and have decided to make even more to use for teacher gifts. (I figure I can put knit and crochet dishcloths and soaps and lotions in them.)
