WOW...thats great! I do something very similar. I used an old GLASS pickle jar. I didn't put the lid on, but the weight of the glass held it to the floor so I didn't need the lid.

i got a yarn container for an early christmas presant i dont know what i would do without it i mean really but your idea wow just awesome i might have to make som emore they really are nifty specialy for a house full of cats!

those are exactly what i use! my husband drills the holes for me!

That's wonderful! I've seen them at Walmart already made but they are more than what it cost you to make your own!
