My dear sister-in-law teaches kindergarten at a local intercity school. The kids are from low income or lower middle income families. They don't always have the mittens and gloves and scarves other kids have when they go outside to play. She asked me if I would crochet scarves for her kids and of course I said yes. 5 girls and 17 boys!!! I've ordered yarn and have my patterns designed and have 2 done. So pray for me to get this accomplished for her!! Thanks in advance for your thoughts and encouragment!!

Why don't you start a thread in the Crochet for Charity, as it is a kind of charity? It's a relatively short-term project and I'm sure you'll find lots of people who'd be glad to help ... there are Hat and Scarf CALs, after all!

When do you need them? Does she need them ongoing or just a one-time event? I've been using yarnlover's hat pattern & it works up really fast...I'll be glad to mail you a couple next week. Just PM me with the address.
