Afghan/Throw question

I am (still!) working on the Pussycat Throw.

 

My question is this: my throw is 37" wide, and currently about 57" long.

How long should a throw of this width be? My DH keeps telling me it needs to be longer, but I don't want it to look super long and thin!

An Average throw is 40x60 so I would say that 57 in x 37 sounds about right.

Depends also how long you want it. I just finished one that goes over my feet when laying down and up to my chin. I don't know the length, that's how long I wanted it. If it's for you, make it the size you want If it's for someone else, what feels right.
