row counters

I saw a row counter on ebay awhile back and would like to know if any one else knows any thing about how to make it. It was a abacus BUT NOT a bracelet. it let you keep track if increases and decreases and pattern rows as well as keep track of the rows. I Would love to make one of these. Thank you.
