Has anyone ever...

made an afghan out of the Bernat Bamboo yarn? If so, which pattern did you use? I'm playing around with the idea of making an afghan for my DH and thought this yarn would be good, because it's really soft.

Is that this stuff? You'd need over 40 balls to make an afghan. I could never afford that, lol. Hmmmm, that has to hand wash, dry flat. I would be afraid to make an afghan out of that only because the ones I have get washed a lot (sloppy kid, sloppy pets, sloppy husband ).

Yeah, that's the stuff. lol. I kinda figured you'd need at least 40 balls to make an afghan...too bad it's a yarn that has dye lots. If it was one of those yarns that didn't have a dye lot, I'd be 2 or 3 skeins here and there until I had enough.

I hadn't been to the craft store for awhile, its just too far to drive on a whim. Anyway, I went there last week, and saw the bamboo yarn for the first time. I'm in love! I haven't bought any yet...I have too many projects and not enough money. I was impressed with just how soft it is, and in very natural colors. I think I'll have to wait until I get a gift card again before buying any though.

I see that joann's online has it on sale for 3.74
