socks

I made some socks for the Boys for Christmas and they get torn up pretty fast over the tile. I uesed worsted weight. Anyone know anything I could do to stop the holes?

use a better yarn.. wool holds up best

I made myself & hubby and the kiddos some really cute socks out of worsted and I couldn't wear the things the yarn hurt my feet to walk in them:( . Everyone else loved them but my feet are sensitive. I'm gonna make some out of the magic stripes someday.

 

As far as the ripping goes I haven't noticed that on anyones socks we have tile too. I did use some puff paint and put some dots on the boittom so they wouldn't be slippery.

Look in the craft section of walmartor any craft store it's fabric paint comes in pretty colors and it dries puffy.Actually any fabric paint will work.
