Help with a pattern I don't understand

Guest Teralissa

Question

Guest Teralissa

I found this really neat pattern for a bed jacket (although, it's so cool, I'd probably wear it as part of an outfit, not as jammys! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/rocking.gif" />)

<a href="http://softmemories.com/AntiqueCrochet/free/~BedJacket.htm" target="_new">Draped Bed Jacket</a>

but I'm fairly new at crocheting and the pattern doesn't seem to make much sense. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/scratchhead.gif" /> It's really non-specific about how to shape the jacket and sleeves.

Anyone know how to decipher this pattern so that a newbie can understand it?

Thanks,
