Hello everyone..

ive been thinking about making my pooh bear characters in different colours than the traditional ones..

the problem is that i want to make pooh, tigger, piglet and eeyore but they wont look like a set if some are not in their right colours.. finding the colours is proving to be more than just a challege..

so i would be looking at

POOH

traditional colours - honey gold and red

neutral colours - cream, chocolate

TIGGER

traditional colours - black, tangerine, lemon, pale pink, maroon

neutral colours - chocolate, beige, cream, white, brown

PIGLET

traditional colours - pale pink, pink, hot pink, dark pink

neutral colours - cream, beige, brown, chocolate

EEYORE

traditional colours - cornflour, lavender, flesh, hot pink, purple, brown

neutral colours - beige, cream, white, brown, chocolate, black

well thats my idea anyways.. that way i only need to buy more readily available colours

unfortunatly for me pooh and friends arn't pooh and friends in non traditional colors. but thats me - if you are ok with the changes then there is no reason you can't do it.

ive been searching high and low for the traditional colours in size 10 thread/4ply cotton and sadly i just cant get every colour i need.. pooh is easy but eeyore and tigger are the hard ones.. i will keep searching but in the ean time i think the neutral tones will be my next major purchase as i can use them for many things

Oh I think the characters would look good in the neutral colors. In the original books they are just line drawings anyway, so I think you could use any colors you like!

I would love to see pictures when they are done.
