Here you go:

In different parts of the world and in different times, Tunisian crochet has been known by many names. You may know it as Afghan crochet, tricot crochet, shepherd's knitting, hook knitting or railroad knitting.

Well, I sure am glad that the Tunisian crochet question was asked and answered. I've been wondering that, myself. I was once an avid crocheter and then took a break from it for a few years due to bad carpal tunnel problem. Now that I'm getting back on track I do find that there are some unfamiliar terms, abbreviations being used in books, magazines and on the web. I think this is going to be a great place for learning, people here seem eager to help. Take it from this "newbie"...It IS appreciated.
