Recycled Plastic Hobo Handbag

I'm so excited to finally be able to post this hobo bag and free pattern. It's a variation from Dao's Nordstrom Hobo Bag pattern but this one is made from plastic bag yarn or plarn. I contacted Dao to work out the details because to use plarn this bag required different stitches and changes to her pattern. Here is my result.

 

 

It looks similar to the pattern done in regular yarn. Here is the free pattern link to the recycled plastic hobo handbag shown above. I used one of those spool knitters to weave the strap but you could just crochet the strap or purchase one like Dao used in her bag. Either way this is a really fun handbag. I'm looking forward to using it this summer.
