Does this match?

Recommended Posts

I want to make a round ripple afghan for a friend that's having a baby in July. The nursery will be in a beach/surf theme in light blue, darker blue, khaki, red, white and light green. Do y'all think that if I make the afghan using Hobby Lobby's "I Love This Yarn" in Retro Modern Ombre (http://www.craftsetc.com/store/item.aspx?dep=20&cat=60&subcat=12&IsOnSale=0&IsFeatured=0&IsNew=0&ItemId=77426)and Sea Blue (http://www.craftsetc.com/store/item.aspx?dep=20&cat=60&subcat=12&IsOnSale=0&IsFeatured=0&IsNew=0&ItemId=77402)it would match well? I'm terrible at making decisions and since y'all are so creative, I wanted to see what your opinions would be before I bought the yarn.

Thanks:)

I think they would look very nice together also. They are pretty colors. Sometimes things look like they wont go, but look great together in the end. Good luck.

Thank y'all for your input. I'm going to go buy the yarn this evening and get started.:hook This will be my first round ripple. I hope I can figure out how to do it.

:cheerTo get the best contrast, use a colour which is NOT in the multi coloured yarn.

If you use a colour which is in the multi coloured, you will get patches which dont contrast at all.

To get the best out of a Round Ripple you need a good contrast which will show the Ripples to their very best effect.

You may be able to use very dark brown, green or black to get your contrast.

Hope this helps.

Have fun.
