Minor annoyance

Well I misplaced my booklet with this baby blanket I want to make. So I know that not everyone on the Web is on the up and up, sooooo I take a google tour looking for the pattern thinking maybe someone might have posted it. well yeah someone posted it alright, Bernat did. Apparently it is a free pattern that they put into a book. urrrggghh while it annoys me that I paid for this free pattern, I'm extremely glad at the moment since I want to make the blanket and not take time to look for the book. lol

I've found that with a couple of Bernat patterns. They'll offer them free and put them in booklets. I guess, in a way you're just deciding if you want to pay for paper and ink yourself or from them.

Same thing with the Annie's Attic magazine, some of the patterns show up as a free pattern of the day a few months later...

I think they do wait a while before offering patterns for free after they have been published in a book.

 

It might also help sell a book and we are all happy if they keep making those books ... right
