FBB question

Well, I finally made a fat bottom bag. It turned out so cute!! I made it out of red Red Heart Super Saver yarn--mostly because that's what I had handy. I figured it would be sort of "festive" in the red, and it is!

 

Now I want to make more!! My question is, what kinds of yarn have you all made these out of, and what did you like/not like? I go to buy yarn and am absolutely overwhelmed by the choices....so I end up not buying anything because I'm just not sure....so help me out!

 

I am thinking these would make wonderful Christmas gifts for certain people....

i usually use lion suede... ive used cotton too.

if you look in the CAL (crochet-along) section, there is one with LOTS of different pics, with all different colorways and yarns.

 

also, if you are on ravelry, you could do a search there. HTH!!!!

I made one out of Lion brand cotton combined with a very thin yarn, almost more like thread, (from my stash), with a bit of sparkle to it. It turned out really well.

I think you could use any yarn and the difference would be the size of the bag. I did some in RH (but haven't finished them yet) and the last one I did was with ribbon yarn and it came out much smaller.

 

I agree that you should go to the FBB CAL as there is alot of information in that thread

I made mine out of Sugar n Cream. It turned out nice and sturdy. I think there's a link to my blog post about my FBB in my signature.
