crocheting lefty AND righty?

Recommended Posts

Anyone able to do this? I thought it might come in handy for teaching somewhere down the line so I started to practice lefty...oh how uncoordinated it feels but I guess with some practice....? :hook

I'm lucky I can crochet without trying to use both hands! As it is, I crochet backwards (inserting hook in the front of the stitch). I'm also a lefty.

Many people who work in LYSs will learn to knit and/or crochet as both lefties and righties so they can help their customers.

I did learn to crochet left-handed when I was teaching crochet for a group. It isn't that hard once you get into it and your body just does what it has learned to do.

Basically, crochet is about pulling a loop through another loop so it can be done :wlol

I am left handed and was teaching a friend to crochet a round ripple. She is right handed so at times I did mine right handed to show her in slow motion. It felt weird at first, but like others said, it's doable once you practice.
