Do you have a girl you crochet for? If so, help, please!

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to have an idea on average sizes especially waist and hips for little girls. If you can, please measure your daughter/niece/granddaughter/friend's child....and help me get some sizes down.

This is for skirts/skorts. Please, please, please... help me fill in this chart.

4/5 my daughter 21" waist and 24" hips ...Length waist to knee 11" in front

6/6x

7/8

10/12

14/16

I'm working on new skirt/skort patterns and I want to try and expand on sizes.

Shaelynn's size 7/8 measurements are right on with my dtrs measurements... she'll be 9 on Friday. Waist to knee is 15".

Thank you for taking the time. I do appreciate it.

Shaelynn is a size 4/5. I used a online chart to help figure out the rest of measurements.

I think what you are saying is that the 7/8 measurements on the chart is the same as your daughters. Thank you!:hug

Here are a couple of other measurements that might help you too for the 5 yr old:

From waist to top of knee=12"

From below waist to mid knee=12"

From below waist to above knee=11"
