What edging would you use for v-shell afghan?

I am making a lapghan for my grandmother using the alternating v-shell pattern.

Which edging would you use? I'm using Simply Soft Off White (Wal*Mart had a VERY limited selection of yarn yesterday and this project is very unexpected, so no shopping around). I thought to dress it up I could use a differnt color for the edging (I have tons of colors in my stash, just not enough to do an entire lapghan hence the off white main color)

I would probably do a 5dc scallop border.

I know with the v-stitch scarfs I make I use a shell and it looks really nice. Granted an afghan is quite a bit larger but it's the same stitch, right?

If you want an light and airy border, try sc, *chain 3, skip a stitch, sc, and continue around from the *. You can make 2, or 3 rows of this.
