Poncho for a friend

Well, been a while since I've posted a project, so here's one! I made this for a friend's birthday gift... first time I've ever made a poncho. The neck tie has some flowers at the end, kinda hard to tell from these pics though.

It's very bulky. I made it from Homespun and Hobby Lobby Fleece Lite (it is soooo *not* lite btw; it's heavier than Homespun ). It's from the Groovy Granny pattern at the Lion Brand website. I don't think I could pull off wearing it myself but it'll be perfect on her, I think.

I love that color! Great job. I have been wanting to make one of those ponchos from that pattern too, just haven't got around to it! Thanks for sharing.
